BASE system backplanes

BASE backplane -- 4-slot short version

The BASE boards plug into two types of backplanes -- 4-slot or 10-slot versions.

The 4-slot version has one clock driver pcb, one signal processing pcb, a dsp pcb, and a power pcb.  It is a 2-channel design, useful for a system with one or two ccds.

The 10-slot version has four clock driver pcbs, four signal processing pcbs, a dsp pcb, and a power pcb.  It is designed to be used with an 8-channel mosaic ccd array.

Each backplane slot has a 120-pin DIN connector, with 0.1 inch pin spacing.  The pcbs are four layers, with buried  ground plane and power layer.
