IMACS Optics Fabrication Progress
Collimator as of March 2000: Collimator optical fabrication at TORC is
complete. The glass elements are at Newport Thin Films Lab for coating.
C02 and its coating tooling can be seen in the images below. The CaF2 element
is at Spectrum Thin Films for coating.
Long camera as of March 2000: Long camera optics fabrication at TORC
is complete except for 1-2 surfaces.
Short camera as of March 2000: Epps has completed the nominal construction
design. Fabrication of the spherical surfaces is planned at TORC, aspheric
surfaces is planned at REOSC.

Dewar Test Window
The IMACS dewar window has optical power, which makes it unsuitable
for optical testing of array flatness. A flat dewar window has been
fabricated to allow testing during the assembly of the array.
Imaging Mirror
The imaging mirror reflects the 15 x 15 arcmin FOV into the
long camera. This mirror was coated by Newport Thin
Films.
