Internal

The instrument includes several internal lamps - quartz-halogen, helium, neon, and mercury, for approximate calibration of the instrument. These are viewed by the instrument from reflection off the instrument hatch. These internal flats are necessary for instrument setup when the telescope will be set up for other instruments or unavailable to the astronomer.
